Breaking news: Baby uses nursery for first time… 4 months after being born (9/17/2018)

DD and MJ arrived this morning for the second round of their September childcare tour. Their train arrived early this time meaning they got to the house in time to see Arabella eating her morning cereal from a spoon. They hadn’t eaten yet, so we walked to Janik’s for a late breakfast/early lunch before I went to work.

After lunch I did some tummy time with Arabella. She is getting so strong! She is also able to hit the buttons on her tummy time toy with her hands now. I’m not sure that she understands what she is doing, but she seems to enjoy the toy. She also napped in her crib for the first time today. It’s a good thing I stressed about getting the nursery done before she was born. First time using it? Four and a half months old. (Take note, moms-to-be!)

My story at work tonight was about Bradley Cooper visiting Chicago to promote his new movie- A Star Is Born. I got so many texts/social media messages from people gushing about my “meeting Bradley Cooper.” I wish I had! My story was put together using my Telemundo colleague Maria Elena’s interview. (Our hair looks somewhat similar from the back, so you can’t really tell it’s not me in the video). She got to spend about ten minutes with Bradley Cooper and ask him all about the movie and some fun questions about Chicago. So yeah, it was Maria Elena who met the hunky Hollywood celeb tonight– not me. But I did get to do a story about him– which is the best best thing, right?

Fun facts about Bradley Cooper:

– His favorite part of being in Chicago is the deep dish pizza.

– He’s a fellow Georgetown grad. #hoyasaxa

  1. I’ve followed you on IG for awhile–just sort of was looking foe more background on the people I so love doing the news on NBC.

Your sweet little girl is growing do fast, I remember those days, I have two girls. Your selfies are so cute…I didn’t have that day of chronicling my motherhood day, but I truly believe carrying a baby and giving birth is an incredible experience! And then watching that little creature grow!

Sending much love and wishes to you and your little family!

    1. Hi Jane! Thanks so much for the sweet note. I thought the blog would be a fun way to record fun things that happen— and maybe start some fun conversations with other moms who can relate and/or offer advice. I’m so glad you are following along. If something resonates with you from you own experience please send me a note or leave a comment- sharing is what this is all about 🙂
