Vacation Day 5 (8/8/2018): My Name is Trina and I have a T-Shirt Problem

I have a confession. I have an addiction to t-shirts. Specifically, vacation shirts. It doesn’t matter how many times I visit a place I will buy a shirt every single time. Wearing them makes me happy. And why deny myself that simple pleasure? Well, because I travel a lot and have no room for the shirts. And after tonight Arabella’s closet is headed in the same direction. Tonight, she got her first (three) vacation shirts. To be fair, they were buy one get one free and MJ bought the third. Don’t judge. I also got an obnoxious neon orange shirt for myself (much to Jarmon’s chagrin) and a t-shirt like Arabella’s. Because matching shirt photos… duh!

The t-shirt shopping came after dinner at Aruba. We had an amazing meal. So good it almost made us forget last night’s dinner disaster. We had smoked fish dip, bacon wrapped scallops and Bimini bread for apps. DD has lobster bisque and shrimp cocktail. MJ had a Caesar salad and pizza. Jarmon had lobster bisque and the swordfish special. I had my old faithful— blackened salmon on a Greek salad. All amazing. Afterward, we had ice cream at Kilwin’s. MJ and I got toasted coconut. Jarmon got a milkshake.

Outside, DD made small talk with some people from Chicago. Turns out the daughter goes to DePaul. She was admiring Arabella and joked that she babysits. Five minutes later I went back and asked for her number. Be careful what you offer, right?!

I also made the fam pose for some beach photos on DD’s good camera. I’m not sure when I replaced DD as the annoying one with photos, but the transition has definitely taken place. Then again, when they turn out as good as they did– are they really all that annoying?
